Karen Sue Potack, age 64, of Lac Courte Oreilles, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at her home.

Karen was born on July 18, 1960, in Hayward, the daughter of Cornelius and Marie (DeNasha) Potack. She grew up and graduated from high school in Hayward. Karen was a beautiful person to be around and could make anyone smile. Her big heart was known through the community and was known as a second mom to many of her nieces and nephews. Karen was always known to be walking around a baby. Her favorite things to do were going for long drives to go shopping for that perfect purse and going to the casino. Karen could be seen at Hinckley, playing bingo and going to concerts with her nieces. She will be missed by all her knew her.

She is survived by brothers Donald Potack & Doug Potack; sisters Constance Barber, Gloria Babineau & Anita (Donald) Myhre; and many nephews & nieces.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters Rose Potack & Marilyn Potack.

Mass of Chrisitan Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in New Post. Father Karunakar Madanu officiated with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in New Post Cemetery in the spring. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 17th at New Post Community Center.
