Larry James Dennis, age 76, of Apache Junction, AZ, formerly of Winter, WI, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Larry was born January 23, 1949, in Ladysmith, WI, the son of LaVern and Thelma (Trumpower) Dennis. He was united in marriage to Helen Reese on June 26, 1969, in Hayward, WI and lived in Winter 54 years before moving to Arizona in 2022. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing horseshoes, along with many other sports. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Helen; daughters Melissa (Brad) Bates & Michelle Dennis; sons Michael (Agatha) Dennis & Mitchell Dennis; 12 grandchildren & nine great grandchildren; brothers Bill (Cheryl) Dennis & Randy (Paula) Dennis; sisters Marge Bolen, Lu (Robert) Carter & Sandy Dennis; many nieces & nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents LaVern & Thelma; brother LaVern "John" (Lou) Dennis Jr.; sisters Bette (Robert) Lind, Virginia (Glen) Timms & Mary Dennis; and nephew Rodney Dennis.

A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday July 27th, at the Southern Sawyer County Sportsmen's Club, 5233N Norwood Trailer Court Road in Winter, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
