Leona L. Keene, age 79, of Hayward died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Hayward Health Services, Valley of Hayward.

Leona Lois was born on February 10, 1938 in Hayward, WI the daughter of Louis and Margaret (Belille) Martin. She grew up and attended school in Hayward. Leona lived in various places including Milwaukee, Chicago, Lincoln, NE, Seattle, WA, Montana and worked various jobs in these cities. Leona returned to LCO in the late 1990's and worked at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital in the gift shop for several years.

She is survived by her brothers William Martin, Franklin Martin; sister Irene Quaderer; several nephews and nieces.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents; brother Charlie Perry; sisters Loyda Fox, Henrietta Valley Jesko and Virginia Martin.

Mass of Christian Burial was held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday October 4, 2017 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Gregory Hopefl  officiated with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3 ^rd at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.

Honorary casket bearers were Lisa Abeita, Barb DeMarr, Cody DeMarr, Josh DeMarr, Maggie DeMarr, Ricky DeMarr, Tami DeMarr, Diane Quaderer, Les Quaderer and Sherry Quaderer.

Casket bearers were Brandon Abeita, Daniel Abeita, William Abeita, Mike Baker, Jeff Billyboy and Dennis Smith.
