Leonard C. Morris, 85, of Hayward, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at his home.

Leonard Charles "Bud" Morris was born on March 10, 1929 in Hayward, WI, the son of Charles and Clara (Gogan) Morris. He attended McClaine Grade School then Hayward High School. After high school he worked on the family farm on McClaine Road. Bud was united in marriage to Betty Swanson on October 1, 1949 in Hayward. They bought a farm in 1963 where they raised their family until 1976. Bud then began work with C.W. Metcalf & Son Contractors. He then worked for the Town of Round Lake until his retirement in 1991.

He is survived by wife Betty; son Michael (Mitzi) Morris; daughter Sandra (Barry) Fliess, Barbara Laakson, Cindy Meyer (Tab Billiard); nine grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren.

Bud was proceeded in death by parents, sister Dorothy Simmons, grandson Ben Briggs and son-in-law Robert Laakson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward with Rev. Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Spider Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
