Linda L. Kagigebi, age 42, of LCO, died Sunday, December 13, 2015.
Linda Lee Kagigebi was born August 14, 1973 in Shell Lake, WI, the daughter of Charles and Joan (Tainter) Kagigebi. She graduated from Hayward High School in 1991 and attended LCO Community College receiving an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and Stout University working toward a Bachelor's degree. Linda was active through high school playing basketball and softball. She loved country music, Harley Davidsons and the Minnesota Vikings. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Linda loved cookouts and family gatherings. She had a great sense of humor and her laughter could be heard for miles. Most of all, Linda loved her grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her sons Oakley Kagigebi, Frank Miller Jr.; daughter Joanna Miller; granddaughter Aubrey Miller; grandson Avory Kagigebi; brothers Richard Kagigebi, Larry Kagigebi, Pat Tainter; sisters Dawn Kagigebi, Laura Taylor; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Linda was preceded by her parents and a nephew.
Tribal Funeral Rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles with Lee Staples officiating. Burial will be in New Post Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15th at Big Drum Ceremonial Center.
Honorary bearers will be Chuxie Barrows, Denise Johnson, Melissa Kagigebi, Sabrina Kagigebi, Amy Littlegeorge, Kim Martinson and Sue Pinnow.
Casket bearers will be Roger Diamond Jr., Darren Kagigebi, Derek Kagigebi, Douglas Kagigebi, Mark Montano and Skylar Taylor.
