Logan J. Guibord, age 27, of LCO, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls, WI.
Logan "Bud" James Guibord was born January 12, 1989 in Hayward, the son of Kelli Fowler and Mark Guibord Sr. Logan was raised on the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation and was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 3½. At the age of 10 Logan's teacher, Chloe, signed him up for "Make a Wish Foundation." Logan, his mother, Aunt Lana Campbell and his siblings were then able to go to Disney World to make Logan's wish come true. At age 11, Logan moved to Winter with Lynn and Ralph Petit where he continued his schooling and graduated in 2008 from Winter High School. After graduation Logan moved into an assisted living facility in Ladysmith. While there Logan became ill and was transferred to Osseo Hospital then to Chippewa Falls Hospital. Logan always had a smile for everyone. He liked to clean, enjoyed his video games, scary movies, drawing and loved to sneak his candy.
He is survived by his mother Kelli (Curtis) Fowler-Isham; father Mark Guibord Sr.; brothers William (Sarah) Fowler, Mark Guibord Jr.; sisters Mary Fowler, Belinda (Johnny Ray Smith Jr.) Guibord; nieces Mary Ann Fowler, Kyleena Smith, Aubry Fowler; nephews Michael Fowler, Ivan Smith, Johnny Smith III, Jaxson DeMain, Memphis DeMain, Leon Guibord; many aunts and uncles.
Logan was preceded by his grandmothers Audrey "Faya" Gokey, Norma Guibord; grandfather William Fowler; uncle Gene Burchfield; aunt Gloria "Jean" Miller; nephew William Fowler Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve with Father Gregory Hopefl officiating. Music was provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 13 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.
Honorary bearers were Leon Guibord, Mary Ann Fowler, Jaxson DeMain, Aubrey Fowler, William Fowler Jr., Michael Fowler, Memphis DeMain, Ivan Smith and Johnny Smith III.
Casket bearers were Chris Brugier, Justin Gordon, Scott Guibord, Tyler Guibord, Julian Martin, Frank Miller, Stuart Miller and Shane Zamora.
