Marga H. Hoenighausen, 89, of Hayward, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Water's Edge Care Center in Hayward.

Marga Henretta Hoenighausen was born on October 26, 1925 in Hookenen, Germany, the daughter of Peter and Maria Wirz. She was raised in Germany, and married her husband, Emil, of 67 years on June 7, 1947. They later gave birth to their only child, Ute, also in Hookenen, Germany. Together they all moved to America in 1953.

After settling in Chicago and later in Villa Park, IL, they retired and moved to Chippewa Falls, WI. In the summer of 2014, they moved to Hayward and became residents of Water's Edge Care Center.

She is survived by her loving husband Emil; loving daughter Ute (August) Boehm; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren.

Marga was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Spider Lake Church with Pastor Gary Hilgendorf and Pastor James Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Spider Lake Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
