Marilyn Joyce Russell (Guibord, Schimp) passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, at her home in Hayward, WI with family at her side.

Marilyn was born October 1, 1941, to her parents, Norman Joseph Guibord and Clara Esther Gouge. Marilyn had a passion for crocheting, loved playing keno and was a proud tribal member of the LCO community. She cherished the moments spent laughing and enjoying time with her family and friends. Her warm spirit, fiery personality and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Mom, sister, aunt, grandma, great-grandma and friend. Marilyn, you will be deeply missed but always remembered. In happiness, laughter and unconditional love your memory will live on through all who knew you. Thank you for a lifetime of memories and a lifetime of love. Rest in Heaven.

She is survived by her loving children, Nancy (Kent), Sharon (Robert), Rebecca, Heidi (Dave) and Arvid "Rusty" (Emy). As well as her adoring sisters, Melva Bishop, Ruth Guibord Braeger (Chuck), Lana Guibord Campbell. Marilyn was a devoted Grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Norman & Clara; husbands Arvid Russell & Peter Schimp; siblings Norma Guibord, June Quaderer, Dwayne Guibord, Robert Guibord, Eugene "Sonny" Guibord, Jim Guibord and Aurelia Guibord.

A special thank you to Marilyn "Sissy" Ramsburg and Lana Guibord Campbell for their comfort, care and presence during Marilyn's passing.

A Celebration of Marilyn's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2025, at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
