Marshall W. Miller, age 73 of Hayward, died Friday, September 16, 2016, at his home.
Marshall Wayne Miller was born on November 5, 1942, at his home in New Post, WI, the son of Earl and Rose (Potack) Miller. He married the love of his life Kathleen Nancy Pederson on Nov. 6th, 1965. Before Marshall graduated from Hayward High School he started working at B&W Chevrolet and was there for about 15 years. He then worked at the LCO Development for another 30 years before retiring. At a young age Marshall owned the Chip-A-Flow Lodge and was a guide there. It was the only Hayward resort that had a wild monkey running around. He swore on a cold crisp night in the middle of winter that he could hear the Northern Lights. Marshall had many passions in life, most important was his relationships with the people around him. He could go anywhere in this country and meet someone that he knew – or knew him. Marshall also loved coaching Little League and it meant the world to him to see them again when they were grown adults. He volunteered with Fishing Has No Boundaries and also was passionate with the Space Program, and even knew one of the astronauts pretty well. Marshall loved El Camino's, his deer, bear, turkeys, and feeding the birds.
Marshall is survived by his son Michael (Jodi) Miller of Westfield MA, grandkids Jordan, Erica & Brian and a special friend Gayle; sisters and brothers: Jeannine Cross (Racine WI), Evelyn Herrick (Kewanee IL), Leland Miller (Minneapolis MN), Franklin Miller (Hinkley MN), Francis Bredeson (Alamo TX), Earl Miller (Chicago IL), Margaret (Duane) Harebo (Hayward WI), Joseph Miller (Norwalk CA) as well as his very special Pederson family.
Marshall is preceded in death by his wife Kathy, father Earl, mother Rose and grandson Nicholaus.
