Mary Brkic of New Post passed away on May 27, 2017, in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Mary Therese was born March 21, 1923, the daughter of Harry and Ida (Quaderer) Woods. She was a proud member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Ojibwe. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by daughters Elizabeth Harris and Mary Monteon; and four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mary had many loving nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lukas Brkic, and her beloved Hans Schmelzer.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
