Mary A. DeMarr, age 70 of Couderay, died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.

Mary Ann was born October 23, 1940 in Grantsburg, WI, the daughter of Eugene and Cora (Westgate) Dunton. Mary was united in marriage to Raymond DeMarr Jr. on March 27, 1956. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds, playing bingo, going to the casino, reading books and going to garage sales.

She is survived by children Mary Ellen (John) Hanlon, Debra (Clyde Miller Sr.) DeMarr, Johnny DeMarr Sr., William DeMarr, Betty Dust, Raymond DeMarr III, Corrine (Brian Varley) DeMarr all of LCO, Ralene (David) Ludvigsen, Marion "Jr." (Traci) Beecher of Clinton, IA; 30 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren; sister Pearl (William) Baker of Couderay; sister-in-laws Betty Schmitz, Nancy Schmitz of Clinton, IA; many nephews and nieces.

Mary was preceded in death by husband Raymond; sons Roy Allen, Richard DeMarr; daughter Sophie DeMarr; grandson Johnny DeMarr Jr.; son-in-law Paul Dust Jr.; sisters Hazel (Alan) Hayton, Betty (Albert) Hayton, Paula Hayton; brothers William, Chuck, Walter (Darlene) and Richard Schmitz and Eugene Dunton and Lyle Hayton.

Honorary bearers will be Logan DeMarr, Shawn DeMarr, Paul Dust III, Robert Hammond II, John "L.J." Hanlon, Matthew Hanlon, Clyde Miller Jr., Gregory Miller, Rico Sanchez, Jacob Thompson, Randy Thornton Jr. and Neal Varley.
