Melinda Blackdeer, age 29, of Milwaukee, WI died Monday, October 21, 2019 at her home.

Melinda Lee Ellen Blackdeer was born May 18, 1990 in Hayward, WI the daughter of Wayne Blackdeer Sr. and Lynette Corbine. She was very creative and talented. Melinda loved to dance, draw, watch funny movies, play Monopoly, enjoyed movie theater dates, watching the newest movies to be released. She loved spending time with her family, talking about her mom and giving her kids everything she never had growing up. Melinda was a good cook and her favorite meal was Chicken Alfredo. She liked watching The Walking Dead, Friends and That 70's Show and listening to Hip Hop and R&B music. Most importantly Melinda was a loving friend, mother and partner and will be missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by sons Armando Zaragoza III, Mitchell Zaragoza; daughter Lynette Rose Marie Blackdeer; father Wayne Blackdeer Sr; brothers Wayne Blackdeer Jr., Donovan Blackdeer; sisters Jolene Blackdeer, Venessa Blackdeer, Bridget Blackdeer; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Melinda was preceded in death by her mother Lynette Corbine and great grandmother Bernice Corbine.

Tribal Funeral Rites were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles. Lee Staples officiated. Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 25 ^th at Big Drum Ceremonial Center.

Honorary casket bearers were Donald Bildeau Jr., Jonathan Blackdeer, Shane Corbine, Bryce Crone, Michael DeMain Sr. and Armando Zaragoza Jr.

Casket bearers were Jason Fleming, Anthony Gougé, James Gougé Jr., Joseph Gougé, Murl Grover Jr., Douglas Meyer, Michael Oshkenaniew Jr. and Jason Pettibone.
