Michael A. Holmes, age 60, of Duluth, MN, died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Duluth.

Michael Anthony Holmes was born November 14, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Duane and Rose (Corbine) Holmes Sr.

He is survived by his son Michael Fasthorse of Duluth; daughter Rhea Holmes, Renita Holmes, Kalina Holmes all of Minneapolis; grandchildren Eriq Holmes, Jordyn LaGarde, Ava Redbear, Jaida Thompson; brothers Duane Holmes Jr. of Minneapolis, Tom Holmes Sr. of LCO, John Reyes, Donald Reyes; sisters Sharon Lussier of Bemidji, MN, Charlene Fohrenkam of LCO, Yvonne Strong of Crystal, MN and Patricia Holmes of Minneapolis, Nikki Reyes.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brothers William Holmes, James Holmes and Wayne Reyes.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve with Father Gregory Hopefl officiating. Music was provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20th at Pineview Funeral Service.

Casket bearers were Frank Brown, Jeffrey Holmes, Tommy Holmes Jr, Tom Holmes-Fohrenkam, Brandon Lussier and William Lussier.
