Michael J. McLaughlin Jr., age 87, of Hayward, WI died Monday, February 24, 2020 at Hayward Health Services.

Mike was born in St. Paul, MN, the son of Michael & Gertrude. He graduated Cretin Durham Hall and worked as a City Inspector for St. Paul until he moved to Hayward WI where met his wife Sandy.  Mike ran several marathons and was an avid fisherman.  He loved playing music on his ukulele enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Sandy; son Timothy (Carol) McLaughlin; daughters Therese (Joe) Kubiszewski, Mary (Billy) Fitch and Kathryn McLaughlin; eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and brother Patrick (Bea) McLaughlin. Mike was blessed with many nieces, nephews and stepchildren that he loved dearly.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Michael & Gertrude; brothers Daniel P. & Richard; and sisters Frances, Connie & Jane.

A Memorial Service was held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Hayward Wesleyan Church. Visitation was held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Refreshments followed the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.
