Michael J. Whitrock, age 47, of LCO, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.

Michael James Whitrock was born March 29, 1969 in Shell Lake, WI, the son of Leonard "Duke" Sharlow Sr. and Carolyn "Karen" Martin. He grew up in Eau Claire and later moved to Lac Courte Oreilles to be closer to his children. Mike enjoyed 3-wheeling with his daughter Gabby. He also enjoyed fishing, ricing, the GREEN BAY PACKERS but most of all being with his family and friends. Mike will be greatly missed by many. Ride free-soar high.

He is survived by his mother Karen (Dewey) Isham; father Duke (Patricia) Sharlow Sr.; children Daniel Ladenthin Sr. and his mother Andrea, Tyler and McKayla and their mother DeAnna Johnson, Gabriella Grover and her mother Jesse Grover; grandson Daniel Ladenthin Jr.; sisters Myra, Michelle & Melaine; step-sisters Stacy, Gail, Kim & Brenda; step-brother Carl, adopted brothers David & Jonathon, half-brother Duke; aunt Barbara Fowler; Uncle Jap; many nephews & nieces.

Michael was preceded in death by his step-sister Leslie.

Tribal Funeral Rites were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles with Lee Staples officiating. Burial was in Round Lake Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15th at Big Drum.

Honorary Casket Bearers were Thomas Corbine, Carl Isham, Chaz Isham, David Isham, Jon Isham, Josh Isham, Duke Sharlow Jr., Dennis Smith, Christopher Stephens and Jeff St. Germaine.

Casket bearers were Vinny Dez, Oliver DeMarr, Melvin Gasper, Ron Gokey, Joey Gougé and Mike Taylor.
