"Spotted Eagle Woman"

Pamela Ann Martin, age 67, a beloved member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribe, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Pam was born November 11, 1957, in Hayward, WI, the daughter of Bernadine (Wolfe) and Phillip Martin Sr. She was raised traditionally by her grandfather; Charles (Charlie) Wolfe. Pamela had maintained this way of living her whole life and dedicated her life to helping others. She was employed at the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School, for over 20 years. Pamela also held pipe ceremonies, sweat lodge ceremonies and was a Sundancer for many years. A strong and traditional woman, Pamela cherished her family above all else. She was an extremely generous woman, a loyal friend, and the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. Pamela found joy in traveling and exploring new places, but her greatest happiness came from spending quality time with her daughter and grandchildren. Her love and guidance shaped their lives in countless ways.

She is survived by her daughter, Zeegwanense Martin; her five grandchildren, Alexandria, Lynsey, Pamela, Gianni, and Matthew; and her three great-grandchildren, Zekiah, Zander, and Jasper.

Pam will be united with her father, Phillip A. Martin; mother, Bernadine Lillian Wolfe; brother, Phillip C. Martin; infant sister Mona Rae, as well as other loving family members. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
