Raymond J. Hart Sr., age 74, of LCO, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Raymond James Hart Sr. was born December 2, 1940 in Couderay, the son of James and Eileen (White) Hart. He attended a one room school in Couderay. Ray was a cross country runner, breaking records. He enjoyed hunting, boating, fishing, ricing, bingo and riding around. Ray collected old cars and loved his dog 8 Ball and his cat Princess.

He is survived by his wife Ann; son Raymond Jr.; step-sons Roger Mustache Jr., Leroy Mustache; grandchildren Mario Billyboy, Raymond Hart III, Cynthia Hart and Ida Hart; sister Beulah Tosland.

Ray was preceded by his parents; brothers Joseph Hart and Frank Lynk; sisters JoAnn Hart and Beverly Gougé.

Tribal Funeral Rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles with Lee Staples officiating. Burial will be in Signor Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16th at Big Drum.

Honorary bearers will be John Begay, Darlene Dillon, Joleen Gokey, Laramie Jockey, Char Lynk, Valerie Lynk, Vicky Lynk and Lawrence Smith.

Casket bearers will be Jack Barber, Nelson Barber Jr., Nicholas Barber, Dwayne Belille, Russell Brownrigg and Franklin Lynk.
