Richard C. Welsch Sr, age 87, of Hayward, died Friday, April 22, 2022, at his home.

Richard Charles Welsch was born October 4, 1934, in Sheboygan, WI, the son of George and Blanche (Lockhart) Welsch. He graduated from Sheboygan High School. His family moved to Hayward, and in 1962 his parents brought and ran Frost Top. Dick worked for Tony Wise at Telemark and managed the Clark House. He owned and operated Heart of the North Home Furnishing from 1979 – 2009. Dick was an excellent pool player, once beating Jackie Gleason. He was on many bowling leagues and bowled a 299. Dick was also a member of the Odd Fellows.

He is survived by Bonnie Welsch; his children Ken Ross, Dan (Phyllis) Ross & Laura (Larry) Sova; daughters-in-law Terri Welsch & Norma Ross; 13 grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren; sister Deloris Sankey; many nieces.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; children George "Butch" Ross, Diane Sebek & Dick Welsch Jr; brother George Welsch & sister Ann Kummurow.
