RICHARD "PUDDIN" WOLFE

Richard Gerald Wolfe, age 76, of Hayward, WI, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Solvay Hospice Home in Duluth, MN.

Richard was born August 22, 1946, in Hayward, the son of Richard Ray and Ida Mae (Quaderer) Wolfe. He graduated from Hayward High School. Richard went on to study at UW Superior where he graduated with a degree in drafting. In 1966 he married Carol Thrasher in Stone Lake, WI. Together they raised three children, Rick, Bob and Angie. Richard went on to work for LCO Development as a carpenter for many years. Afterwards he went back to study at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University and used his new skills in his employment at LCO Health Center as Benefits Manager.

He is survived by his two sons, Rick (Grete), and Bob (Tracey); daughter, Angie; grandchildren, Kristin, Olivia, Bryce, Ethan, Bailey, Alex, and Alayna; sisters Theresa and Doreen Wolfe; and many nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol; brothers Wendell, Doug & Jay; nieces Lynsey Beaudin & Sarah Wolfe.

A Celebration of Richard's Life was held at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 24 ^th at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward, WI. A visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Tim Young officiated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Stone Lake in the spring.

Honorary Bearers were Philippe Beaudin, Brandon Wolfe, Wendell Wolfe, Tina Wolfe, Alicia Cross, Trina Wolfe and Deidre Caldwell.
