Robert Carl Kipka, age 77, of Hayward, WI, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Aspen Acres Care Center in Hayward.

Butch was born February 18, 1947, in Chicago, IL, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Szumnarski) Kipka. He became a history teacher after 4½ years in college then transitioning into a Special Education teacher. After three years working in Elgin, IL, he decided to move up North because he enjoyed fishing so much. Butch became a Special Ed teacher in Webster, WI for ten years. In 2007 he was hired at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe High School as a Special Ed Teacher. He enjoyed the job and helped several students to do much better in school. In 2012 Butch retired at age 65.

He is survived by his brother Gary of CA; several cousins; and many special friends.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents Bob & Dorothy; brothers Dennis and Mike.

A Memorial Gathering was held Friday, January 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward, a luncheon followed at the funeral home.
