Robert L. Young, age 81, of Hayward, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at his home.

Robert Lee Young was born April 18, 1934 in Morrison, IL, the son of Clifford and Mary (Shoffner) Young. He went to school and graduated from Oregon High School. Bob was a gas man and sold and serviced propane. He retired to the north woods 30 years ago and owned and operated Valhalla Resort on Grindstone Lake. Bob loved fishing year round.

He is survived by his wife Miriam (Pearce); son Rodney (Monetta); sister Darlene (Pete) Jones; step-daughters Michelle Zunnurain, Janelle Cote; step-sons Lou & Ed Wehmhoeffer; grandchildren Brady, Zishan, Zoe, Clayton, Dave, Mindy, Jeffrey, Megan; great grandchildren Abbie, Hayleigh, Izzie & Macauley.

Bob was preceded by his parents, one daughter, one step-son and one granddaughter.
