Rodney W. Corbine Sr., age 53 of LCO, died Sunday, May 19, 2013.
Rodney Warren was born on October 17, 1959 in Hayward, the son of Maurice and Bernice (Barber) Corbine. He grew up in Hayward and graduated from Flandreau Indian School. On January 31, 1979 Rodney enlisted in the US Marines and served until February 10, 1982. He was united in marriage to Susan LaSieur on April 6, 1984 in Hayward. They resided in Lac Courte Oreilles where Rodney worked for the LCO Cranberry Marsh for several years. He then worked for the LCO Casino as a blackjack dealer for over 20 years. Rodney was a member of the Midewiwin Lodge.
He is survived by his sons John Anthony Radermacher Sr., Rodney Warren Corbine Jr.; daughter Honey Little Fawn LaSieur, Anna Falling Snow Corbine; seven grandchildren; brothers Wilbur "Johnny Boy" (Connie) Corbine, Russell "Rusty" (Anita) Corbine, Marvin (Dorrie) Corbine, Duane Corbine; sisters Cheryl Corbine, Selma Corbine, Elaine (Ed LaRush) Corbine; many nephews and nieces.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents; wife Susan in 2002; brother Maurice "Mack" Corbine.
Midewiwin Funeral Rites will be held beginning with a feast at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery in Hayward. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21 at the funeral home.
Honorary casket bearers will be Brian Corbine, Maurice Corbine Sr., Thomas Corbine, Brian Delapast, Louis "Buckwheat" Gordon, James Gougé Sr., Jeramie LaRush, Joseph Miller, John Radermacher Sr., Howard "Jap" Sharlow and William Swehla.
Casket bearers will be Donald Bildeau Jr., Jamie Joe Corbine, James LaSieur, Leon Corbine, Michael DeMain and Loren Mustache.
