Sandra Ann Thomas, age 66 of Hayward, died Thursday, August 29, 2019 at her home.

Sandra Ann Lueloff was born November 6, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Walter Jackson and Lorraine "Waboose" DeNasha Lueloff Sorenson. She attended school in Chicago, IL, and after graduation began working at Underwriters Laboratories in Chicago. She met the love of her life, Jerry Thomas, while living in Chicago, and they were married July 24, 1971. Sandy continued working at Underwriters Laboratories until they moved their family to Hayward. Sandy worked for Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Government for several years, mostly in clerical capacity. She was very proud to have been one of the very first women elected to the LCO Tribal Council in 1988, where she worked until retiring the summer of 1992 to take care of her family.

She is survived by her Husband Jerry Sr.; son Jerry Jr.; Daughter Tina Marie Thomas; two grandchildren Brendan and Nathaniel Thomas; Brothers Leo DeNasha and Robert Sorenson; Sisters Roberta, Donna, and Gladdys Lueloff; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Lorraine, grandparents, and sisters Jackie and Darlene.

Honorary casket bearers were Leo DeNasha, Linda Hollen, Kay Hooker Jenkins, Roberta Lueoff and Brendan and Nate Thomas.

A Memorial Service was held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Pastor Brian Cole officiated. Visitation was held from 10 a.m.-12 noon Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
