Sharon L. Darnick, age 84, of Winter, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her home in the care of family, friends and hospice services.
Sharon "Daisy" Lynn Darnick was born August 14, 1930 in Barton, VT, the daughter of Ivy Bushan and Harold Stone. She spent early summer years at her Aunt Jerry's farm playing and teasing the animals. In the winter Sharon spent time in Montplich with her mother. She went to many different schools due to her mom finding work in different places. Sharon was united in marriage to Galen Schoepke which produced four beautiful children. Sharon married Donald Darnick in later years. She loved to cook, travel, garden, and had a great faith in God. Sharon worked at Penfield Children's Center where she was a nutritionist for 12 years. She had her training at USDA Dept. of Health – Milwaukee. She also waitressed for nine years at the University Club in Milwaukee. Later years she did CNA work. Sharon was a born caregiver and had many great friends and family.
She is survived by her sons and their families Randy (Diane) Schoepke, Michael (Linda) Schoepke; son-in-law James Carlisle; daughter-in-law Kathleen Schoepke; grandchildren Randy Carlisle, Tammy D'Amour, Schawn (Sara) Schoepke, Latricia Dugger, Case (Jennifer) Schoepke, Clayton Schoepke, Annie (David) Maradiaga, David (Tammy) Schoepke, Sarahie Weiler, Benjamin Schoepke, Heather Jowett, Alexander Jowett & Nicholas Jowett; 23 great grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded by her husband Donald Darnick; son Errol Schoepke; daughter Linda Carlisle; granddaughter Christie Carlisle; grandson Jason Jowett.
A big thank you to Sharon's dear friends Mary Lou Butler, Bonnie Ruby and Janet Lindblom and other friends for their help and support. Also the Hayward Regional Hospice Team, especially Pam RN and Sam CNA.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Evangelical Free Church in Radisson with Pastor John Lindblom officiating. Burial will be in Winter Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, prior to the service at the church.
Honorary bearers will be Jack Butler, Jim Carlisle & Bob Crandall.
Casket bearers will be Randy Carlisle, Michael James D'Amour, David Maradiaga, Benjamin Schoepke, David Schoepke and Schawn Schoepke.
