Sharon Marie Lussier, age 74, of Bemidji, MN, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025.
Sharon was born March 10, 1951, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Rose (Corbine) and Duane Holmes Sr. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, auntie, and friend whose warmth and strength touched countless lives. Sharon dedicated her life to caring for others- serving as an early childhood educator, doula, family worker, foster mother, community worker, and caterer. Her compassion, patience and unwavering belief in the potential in every child and family made her a source of guidance, support and comfort throughout the community.
She is survived by her children Bill Lussier (Louisa), Brandon Lussier (Ratana), Fawn Dewitt, Jake Peet, Sir Peet, Richard Peet, Soutidda Leal, Natasha Kingbird, Jordan Lussier, and Aiden Lussier, along with many more children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. She is also survived by her siblings Charlene Fohrenkam, Duane Holmes, Yvonne Strong (Melvin), Patty Holmes (Bill), Tom Holmes, Vicky Reyes, Danny Reyes, John Reyes, Donald "Jack" Reyes, Nicki Birchfield, and Sharyl Whitehawk, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she cherished.
Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved sons Phillip Lussier, Jason Lussier Sr., Jason Lussier Jr. and Danny Peet. Her brothers James Holmes, Bill Holmes, Michael Holmes, Wayne Reyes, Richie Reyes, and Jerry (Otto) Reyes; her sister Darlene Cross; and parents Rose Holmes and Duane Holmes Sr. Though she experienced profound loss, she carried her family's memory with grace and continued to give selflessly to those around her.
Though Sharon has gone to the spirit world, her love, teachings, and strength remain with her family and all who knew her. Her generosity, humor, courage, and endless love, live on in every story shared, every tradition kept, and every act of love passed forward.
A Funeral Gathering and lunch was held from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2025, at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Burial was in St. Franics Cemetery in Reserve.
Honorary casket bearers were her grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
