Sirella Krause's Obituary
Sirella E. Krause, age 89, of Hayward, died peacefully Thursday, October 23, 2014 at her daughters home in California with her family by her side.
Sirella Ella Krause was born on May 6, 1925 in Hayward, WI, the daughter of John and Sophia (LaRush) Potack. For 8 years Sirella was a volunteer with the Senior Companion Service at the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Tribe. She also volunteered her time at the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School as a teacher's aide for many years. She worked for many years at the Minneapolis Athletic Club and moved back to Hayward after retiring from the Athletic Club.
She is survived by her children Gwen Krause (Huntington Beach, CA), Lester Krause (Mahnomen, MN), Patty Barbara (Arlington, TX), Clark (Ronnie) Mount (Victorville, CA), and Mike (Myron) Cortopassi (St. Louis, MO); grandchildren Shiloy Krause, Gina Rettler, Ira Potack, Jack Potack, Lily Potack, Shawn Mount & Micali Feiker; great grandchildren Isabella and Macy Rettler, Liam Mount, Brayden Potack, and Iggy Feiker; oodles of nieces and nephews and two special nieces she loved deeply, Pamela and Briana Libby.
Sirella was proceeded in death by parents (Sophia & John Potack); daughter Carol Potack and 1 month old baby girl; sons David Krause & Gene Potack; 6 brothers John O'Hara, Richard Thayer, Raymond Potack, Connie Potack, Milo Potack & John Potack; sisters Lucille Gervais and Bertha Webber.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in New Post with Fr. Gregory Hopefl officiating and music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in New Post Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward, with a scripture service at 6:30 p.m.
Honorary casket bearers will be Lester Krause, Brent Secord and Henry Webber.
Casket bearers are Dan Babineau, Roger Baker, Randy Brodsho, Dan Gonzalez, Rich Hollen, Douglas Potack, Ira Potack and William Webber Jr.
