Vernon F. "Thede" Keith age 94 of Couderay, WI passed away on Saturday Sept. 13th at the Queen of Angels in Radisson.
Thede was born to William and Inga (Olson) Keith on July 2, 1920 in River Falls, WI. He graduated from the River Falls High School, and after graduation he joined the National Guard for a year, then enlisted in the US Army serving his country from 1941 to 1945. On October 19, 1946 he was united in marriage to Geneva "Sis" Anderson. Thede worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 28 years, retiring in 1980. He and Sis served as adoptive grandparents for many of their nieces and nephews, which brought so much fulfillment to their lives.
He was preceded in death by parents William and Inga, wife Geneva "Sis", four sisters: Elizabeth, Elsie, Joyce & Beverly; two brothers: Earl & James Keith. His dog Peppy 1.
Thede is survived by Faithful Dog & Companion Peppy 2, Nephews & Nieces: Greg, Steve & Todd Keith, and the Anderson Family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday September 19, 2:00 P.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Radisson, visitation 1 hour prior to service, 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Friday at church. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Couderay, WI.
Honorary casket bearers will be Brodie, Jim, Russell, and Toby Anderson, Tim Jelinek, Greg Keith, Gary Kamsmann, Pat Roger, and Dave Velleaux.
Casket bearers will be Mark Anderson, David Biller, Greg Boss, Brian Cody, John Koepke, and Kelly Sander.
