Walter A. Serio Sr., age 83, of Winter, WI died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Hayward Health Services.

Walter Anthony Serio was born December 31, 1934 in Chicago, IL the son of Anthony and Helen (Zajkowski) Serio. He served in the United States Air Force from February 6, 1952 – February 26, 1956.

He is survived by his son Walter Anthony Serio Jr, Michael Anthony Serio; daughter Annette M. Kaptur; brother Raymond Hess; sister Janice Crueger; nephews & nieces Sarah, Ray Jr., Jessica, Nicole & Jennifer.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents Anthony & Helen; sons Christopher Walter Serio; brother Leonard Serio; uncle Walter Zajkowski

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 22 ^nd at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winter. Father Jerome D'Souza officiated. Burial was in Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery near Spooner with military honors accorded by the State of Wisconsin Military Honors Team. Visitation was held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday prior to Mass at the church.
