Wilfred Edward Martin, age 69, of Chicago, IL, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Fred was born April 29, 1955, in Chicago, IL the beloved son of William and Norma (Slater) Mustache. Fred was a kind soul, known for his independence and love of simple pleasures like surfing the internet, enjoying TikTok, and taking walks by Lake Michigan. A true Chicagoan, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his brother Myron Martin; sisters Theresa Martin, LaVerne Martin, Betty Martins & Cheryle Silva; along with many cherished nephews, nieces & cousins.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents William & Norma; sister Virginia Rounsley; brother William Martin; and nephew James Potack Jr.

A Memorial Service was held at 12:00 noon, Friday, August 16, 2024, at New Post Community Center. Father Karunakar Madanu officiated. Burial was in New Post Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon prior to the service at New Post Community Center.
