William E. Chafer, age 76, of Radisson, WI died Monday, July 6, 2020 at Heritage Lakeside Nursing Home in Rice Lake, WI.

William Edwin Chafer was born October 23, 1943 in Burlington, WI, the son of Joseph and Vivian (Erbentraut) Chafer. He graduated from Winter High School. Bill worked for many years on the family farm and later worked for Ladysmith Papermill, Bruce Cheese Factory and Town of Couderay. He served in the National Guard and Bill was deployed and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Rose Chafer; nephews Todd, Scott, Robert, Craig and Greg Chafer.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Vivian; and brother Joseph R. Chafer.

A Graveside Service will be held with military honors at a later date.
